Found Greek Friend Arrived home from work today and there was a certified letter from Iraklion Crete from Leonidas Titomichelakis who I have been searching for for years. All I had was a first name and I tried the Embassy, Souda Bay, and a Greek Newspaper. It is unclear to me still how he found me but I was ecstatic. I am going to Crete next year so I will visit him. Thanks Dave for having this site so I could share the news with everyone. Leonidas worked on base doing landscaping and we became great friends.

I also plan to visit Crete in Summer 2010, and am trying to find out what its like since I was there 71-75. Do you have
contact or way for me to get info on what it is like now?
How does the money compare to 30 drachma (sp?) for
a dollar as it was then, I know they use the Euro now...
